Catalogue
This site is compiling a catalogue of all known works by Mehmet Başbuğ. Each work receives a catalogue number (e.g. MB-0142). Neither the number nor the address of the work's page will change; please use the number when citing a work.
Where known, each entry gives provenance, exhibition history and literature alongside the basic details. Entries are updated as new information comes in.
Committee
The catalogue is compiled by a committee made up of the artist's family and specialists. The committee examines the works reported to it, includes those it accepts in the catalogue and, at the owner's request, issues a certificate.

Certificates
Certificates are numbered, and every number can be verified on this site. A certificate states that the committee has examined the work and included it in the catalogue; it records the committee's opinion.
Owners
Owners' names are never published. Unless the owner wishes otherwise, the location of the work is given as "Private collection".
